Earth Day

Please join Green Power Girl and the whole Earth Day Crew to celebrate our Mother Earth at the 4th Annual Earth Day Clean Energy Fair at Griffith Park on April 22.

Over 1000 LAUSD students (2nd-6th grade) from all over LA will join a community of Clean Energy Action Heroes for hands-on activities on Earth Stewardship.

Tuesday, April 22nd THE BIG DAY! at Griffith Park 7:30am -2pm
We will need help throughout the day with activites, set-up and break-down, etc.
Mentor volunteers are expected to be at the event the entire time. But if you do not feel like mentoring we still need your help with directing buses, and overall site management and coordination.
For those of you that were with us last year, you know that the focus is on clean energy and creating sustainable, peaceful mindsets in our youth so they are empowered with tools to create a positive future.
This year we are very excited to bring back the LADWP's solar stage and clean energy cars; solar sun exhibits by Golden Solar and 3 Phases solar; air exchange games by the Coalition for Clean Air; the infamous Tree People "Dirt Doctor"; Magic Acorns from North East Trees; John Quigley-Tree Man appearance and "Old Glory Oak Leaf" activity; MWD water chain game; the Tide Pool Cruiser; Bureau of Sanitation recycling and compost adventures; Eco Station's amazing critters; yoga by STAR; Lakota Storytelling with Lone Eagle and Morning Dove; and the "Animal Nation Conference on the Environment" and more...

Please celebrate Earth Day with us... it will be a day you'll always remember!
